Our bed & breakfast is nestled among rustic beauty, authentic Amish lifestyles and green as far as you can see. Located in northeastern Indiana near the town of Rome City, and in a county of more than 110 public lakes. Since we reside 15 minutes from the Amish town of Shipshewana, our guests often visit in order to learn more about the Amish lifestyle and shop the multitudes of stores. Visit the flea market for the day, or attend the auction. The location of our B&B offers peace and serenity from the noises of a busy life. No trains, sirens or highway traffic will keep you awake. Most nights, the only sound you can hear is the light clopping of horse hooves.
Our inviting Cabin, the “Bunkhouse B&B” is a 500 sq. ft. lake cottage, and guests receive a full farm breakfast every morning served either in the 180 yr. old main house, or delivered to the Bunkhouse. We do have a skip breakfast option as well.
Neighboring farms, fields, Amish homes and small home business’ make up a large portion of Shipshewana and northern Indiana’s small town beauty. When your ready to relax for the night watch a gorgeous sunset and later an impressive view of the stars. With no light pollution at Mirror Lake, the aesthetics of our starry night sky are inimitable.
Enjoy the few miles to relax from your stressful day of shopping, sight-seeing or working away from home. From the pier, throw in a fishing line or sit back and enjoy a beautiful sunset. Take a “Gator” ride back to either woods to walk on mowed trails. Maybe you’ll see some deer, Sand Hill Cranes or a Blue Heron.
YES, you will take the roads less traveled...to a lifestyle almost forgotten,
it is more than a destination it is an awakening.
Guests can select from a variety of packages including one-night stays, deer hunts, quilting retreats and more! For an in-depth look at the options available for your visit, please browse our packages page.
